The New Hockey Stadium at Ashramam, owned by Directorate of Sports, Government of Kerala, will be the First Hockey Stadium in the State with Synthetic Astroturf. The National Games Secretariat is constructing the Stadium at a cost of Rs 17.55 Crores.
Hockey matches of the 35th National Games are scheduled at this Stadium from 1st -11th February, 2015.
During the Games the Stadium will be known as DHYAN CHAND PLAZA in honor of the legend Dhyan Chand.
